HYDERABAD: In a significant breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Latifabad Unit A-Section police on Friday claimed to have arrested a female member of an international drug smuggling syndicate.During a targeted operation based on intelligence leads, police recovered 36 kilograms of high-grade hashish (Charas) from the suspect’s possession. According to a police spokesperson, the woman was allegedly a key courier for a network operating across international borders, smuggling narcotics into various parts of the country.”This arrest is part of our ongoing crackdown on high-profile drug dealers destroying the city’s peace,” stated a senior official. A case has been registered under the Narcotics Act, and further investigations are underway to dismantle the remaining network and arrest the accomplices.
